Technical Project Manager

What better time to join npower than now, as we embark into a UK 3 year exclusivity deal with a brand new innovative Sub-metering Solution. This will bring energy, environmental, production and business data into one single real-time Data Insights platform for our Business Customers. We’re talking about going beyond the billing meter, deep into our customer’s business infrastructure to provide customers with data insights that exceed anything else on the market today.

Are you an experienced Project Manager? Do you have a passion for delivering projects for customers? If so, we would love to hear from you. Joining our growing team, you will own the delivery of multiple sub metering projects from initial survey through to completion, ensuring set time scales and service agreements have been met.

Each project will start with you  overseeing the  site surveys with 3rd party contractors then leading to the on-site supervision of installs. You will also be responsible for the shared delivery of Health and Safety within the Sub-metering service business, ensuring all sub-contractors have the appropriate training. You will need strong interpersonal and organisational skills as you will interact with a diverse stakeholder group spanning senior internal partners across the business, senior level customers, npower Business Solutions colleagues, contractors, 3rd parties and Procurement teams.

In this exciting role, you will be based at home, with UK wide travel periodically to our npower offices and customer sites.

What are we looking for?

To be successful, you will have the following:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Experience partnering the business and external 3rd parties
  • Strong ability to organize people to ensure actions are completed and milestones are achieved.
  • Flexible in your approach and able to juggle multiple projects at one time
  • Proven commercial acumen
  • Experience of handling high value contractual arrangements

It would be nice if you had the following but it is not essential:

  • Knowledge and experience of all forms of industrial and commercial metering
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical engineering applications

What do we offer our people?

As well as a competitive salary up to £34,000 and impressive benefits package which includes a car allowance of £4,800 per annum, bonus opportunity up to 10%, company pension scheme, 25 days annual leave (option to buy more), you’ll also get the opportunity to craft the future of our business. Along the way, we’ll give you all the support you desire to develop your skill set and achieve your long-term objectives.
