What is Energy+?

Our new and exciting Energy+ Solutions team develop propositions and value with our large corporate customers to ultimately help them to understand their energy requirements, optimise their energy usage and save money. A crucial area for demonstrating value back to our customers whilst increasing our earnings and margins. All by providing customer value add services and effective energy solutions. You’ll be joining the technical side of Energy+. A team responsible for identifying potential opportunities whereby our Energy+ Solutions including Technical Metering, Demand Side Response (DSR) and Revenue Generation Management products to name a few, can be installed into customers sites to improve the efficiency of the energy they use - resulting in energy savings.

Experiencing the full end to end lifecycle of technical delivery, all the way from survey through to sale, with an integrated energy approach – doing right by the customer to do right by us.

How will you do it?

Firstly, data analysis plays a big part. The customer data we receive on a half hourly basis allows us to identify potential opportunities for development with our customers. You'll use this intelligence to perform a deeper level of analysis against our customers sites, identifying any assets they have to potentially upgrade using our Energy+ product suite.

Visiting their sites to complete site surveys and assess their generation assets to evaluate the technical feasibility of products/equipment to be upgraded and therefore participate in Demand Side Response Programmes. DSR is how we operate customers assets remotely resulting in a cost and energy saving for the customer, for us to sell back to the National Grid.

What happens next?

Using your technical background and commercial awareness you’ll document the site survey into a report, outlining the feasibility and commercial and technical capabilities and/or limitations of the sites assets to develop a proposal for our Energy+ Sales team. You’ll work closely with our Sales team to present this to customers and be on hand, supporting them from a technical angle to help win the sale.

Your passion, drive and enthusiasm for energy saving related products is what we really need to not only maintain but also improve our position within the market.


Who we’re looking for:

To be successful in your application, you’ll need the following:

  • Electrical background and understanding – PART17 Electrical Qualification
  • Working knowledge of electrical equipment and Demand Side Response
  • Project Management experience or knowledge of a project lifecycle
  • Experience of Contract Management
  • Experience within the Energy Industry and in particular Electrical Supply
  • Translate technical language into business language
  • Have an eye for detail and be able to find opportunities and be innovative and creative
  • Engineering background and specifically knowledge of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
  • Strong partnering skills with the ability to liaise with internal teams and external customers
