Online and Digital Optimisation Lead

A new opportunity has arisen to join our small but ambitious team on an initial fixed term contract for 12 months. Are you a career driven individual with an appetite to influence senior management? Working closely with the Campaign Manager, you'll be responsible for the content of our web pages and all customer-facing platforms. Your goal is to develop, improve and evolve digital platforms to meet our strategic goals, and tactical sales and service requirements.

You’ll be the central link of all digital development from a customer’s perspective. This includes ensuring the voice of the customer shines through and that all platforms are consistent in their look, feel and customer & user experience. As you'll work with approved agencies to develop, implement, manage and importantly maximise activity from our marketing plan digitally, you'll have the ability to build relationships with external partners too.

The role will see you maximising budgetary spend, targets and important metrics that scale performance and output of the team. As well as leading on the development and communication of the entire plan, supporting our digital journey.

As technical lead across the entire and npower business solutions sites, you'll drive our marketing activity and also drive traffic to these sites. This can be through different forms of traffic but in particular Email, PPC (pay-per-click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Not only driving traffic but your great work will allow you to optimise traffic too. Using AB testing methods to increase conversion and reduce drop-off rates as well as Online Account Management registrations and usage.

Another key component of this role is delivering insight from the analytics and behaviour you see online and using your stong analytical skills you'll be able to recommend how to change and/or benefit from this, as well as reporting on performance with substantiated commentary and insight.

So who are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated digital marketing skills and experience with a strong commercial focus
  • Strong leadership qualities with a background of successfully influencing peers, management and key partners across the business
  • You'll have experience of driving online business growth
  • Expert knowledge of digital marketing channels/tools, including SEO, PPC, Social, Analytics and Affiliates are required
  • Agency management skills - campaign briefing and performance measurement against contract are highly desirable
  • You will be motivated by stats and be an analytical individual. Comfortable with large amounts of numbers and presenting the results of your own analysis
  • Understand back-office systems and have a level of technical knowledge with the ability to work with and guide developers
  • Knowledge of Sitecore is important and it’s advantageous if you know a little about WordPress too
  • Be a great teammate and have a positive can-do attitude
