Field Team Manager - Croydon

£36,210 (depending on qualifications and background), £1,750 London Weighting within M25nm, car allowance (£400pm), 10% bonus opportunity.

Could you be our next Meter Installation Field Manager? We’re looking for a dedicated and reliable professional with a background in meter installations and leadership for this exciting opportunity, you must also be dual fuel qualified.

You will lead and build a team capability to deliver an effective gas and electrical meter installation and repair service. You will manage resources and projects effectively to meet business objectives that include direct and indirect labour.

Role description

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the Health, Safety and wellbeing of our workers and customers as well as providing accurate reporting to senior management and internal and external customers
  • You will manage and develop your team, ensuring that they achieve performance targets by utilising the resources available effectively
  • You will drive a positive customer experience including all relevant regulatory requirements, i.e. energy efficiency advice, identification and implementation of continuous improvement
  • We want you to handle Employee Relations issues (e.g. grievances) and investigate and appropriately respond to customer complaints
  • You will provide technical support and advice in a variety of multi-site meter installation situations, including domestic and business, as well as auditing individual performance.
  • You’ll participate in an out of hours duty roster

What qualifications and experience do I need?

We are seeking trained electrical professionals who possess the following experience and qualifications:

  • You must be Dual Fuel - Gas and Power Qualified to undertake Smart gas and electric domestic meter installation, with demonstrable knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrable experience of performance management and coaching/ mentoring
  • Previous Operational management experience including remote field team management is essential, ideally from customer installations background
  • A recognised Health and Safety Qualification would be desirable, i.e. IOSH, NEBOSH or demonstrable H&S management experience
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • A valid Driving Licence is required for this role, as is a Criminal Record check
