Offshore Wind – Senior Project Manager

Location – Swindon & International


Join Innogy Renewables as a Project Manager and play a lead role in the successful delivery of our worldwide portfolio of offshore wind farms


Innogy Renewables is a leading Offshore Wind Farm owner with an established track record from the UK’s first commercial offshore wind farm to our current operating portfolio and a pipeline of major projects in development and construction worldwide including Galloper, Triton Knoll and Sofia.


Role description


As a Senior Project Manager you will initially be responsible for building innogy’s project management body of knowledge and aligning it with international project management best practice. In doing so, you will be recognised within innogy and the wider offshore wind industry as an offshore wind project management subject matter expert. The Senior Project Manager is likely to be representing innogy with overseas partners, including host governments, as the business grows. As a result, you will need to be willing to undertake regular international travel and consider short or even long-term international assignments. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your commercial, technical and leadership skills working with an established, experienced, and successful team and be at the forefront of the growth of an innovator in the offshore wind energy industry.


What we are looking for


  • Experienced leaders or aspiring leaders

  • Demonstrable commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment and track record of successfully managing the HSE and quality performance of contractors

  • Track record of developing project management strategies, including HSE, quality, supply chain, risk and change management strategies appropriate to the scope and dimensions of a project

  • Commercial acumen

  • Proven ability to effectively manage teams and influence others to deliver results

  • Dynamism and drive to deliver on our promises


You will have


  • Qualifications to degree level in an engineering discipline

  • Membership of a project management professional body and/or accreditation

  • Experience of safely delivering offshore construction projects, preferably involving HV electrical systems and wind turbines to quality, schedule and cost expectations

  • Experience of successfully representing your company at the highest levels of government and partner management and maintaining stakeholder relationships

  • A career history with periods spent outside of base country delivering projects would also be advantageous
