Technical Contract Coordinator Wind Onshore for Innogy Renewables US LLC


Innogy Renewables US LLC, a subsidiary of innogy SE (Germany), is seeking motivated individuals to join an exciting new venture to grow a renewable energy business platform focused on wind and solar power generation in the United States. Our team will be developing and operating new generation capacity to produce clean, domestic power consistent with innogy’s core mission.

For our innogy location Pittsburgh, PA, we are looking for you as a Technical Contract Coordinator Wind Onshore at the earliest possible time (Full time, permanent).


How will you support us as Technical Contract Coordinator Wind Onshore?

  • Provide specialist engineering Contract Coordination support/negotiation (incl. Turbine Supply Agreements, Service agreements, and Balance of Plant Contracts) to Onshore Wind projects
  • Act as the point of contact for Project Development/Construction Procurement and Legal departments as well as for suppliers and service providers in all contractual areas of Onshore wind projects
  • Preparation and evaluation of tenders for wind farm projects
  • Identify and quantify the technical contractual risks for Onshore wind farm projects and define risk mitigation measures
  • Support the continuous improvement of Technical Engineering internal processes and tools, definition of overall requirements and deliverables
  • Coordination of technical support from within the Technical Engineering department for Onshore Wind stakeholders
  • Review and audit of the technical contract content for Onshore wind projects
  • Support the Project team during supplier contract negotiations


What do you ideally bring to the role?

  • Advanced degree (i.e. Master or Diploma) in relevant disciplines (e.g. mechanical, electrical, civil or industrial engineering etc.), legal background is a plus
  • Several years of professional contractual and engineering experience
  • Excellent understanding of overall wind farm engineering and the respective value drivers
  • Solid knowledge in relevant areas of expertise and the respective value drivers
  • Experience with the use of office IT tools (e.g. MS Office with a focus on MS EXCEL).
  • Fluent English, German language skills are a plus, strong negotiation skills in an international and complex environment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent teamwork ability and integrative skills on all international management levels; ability to arbitrate between conflicting functional and regional priorities along with clear target setting
  • High degree of social competence, high level of engagement and intercultural mind set
  • Flexiblity to travel domestic and internationally
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
