Senior Architect Connectivity

As a Senior Architect Connectivity you will cover elements of Enterprise, Solution and Technical architecture in the context of Connectivity Services.

 

We offer the following tasks: 

  • Create IT infrastructure architectures (roadmaps, target architectures, patterns, etc.)
  • Develop high level designs
  • Provide the necessary overview and support projects and programs to ensure alignment with agreed strategy, standards and business cases
  • Keep an up-to-date overview of technology trends and collaboration with technology vendors to understand where using their products would bring business value to innogy
  • Participate in design authorities of larger programs and keep definitions of technology standards and their lifecycles up to date as a guide to project design and deployment activities
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to develop the maturity of the overall architecture function and its processes
  • Collaborate with innogy's Technical Subject Matter Experts and third parties to understand current or potential issues in current infrastructure services and propose the actions needed to address them, and work towards a medium to long-term vision

 

What you as Senior Architect Connectivity ideally bring to the role: 

  • A computer science degree and / or a comparable vocational training
  • Fluent written and spoken German, as well as comparable knowledge of at least one further European language (e.g. Czech, Dutch, English, Polish)
  • At least 3 years’ experience of evaluating, selecting, designing and implementing complex, business-critical network and UC on-premise and cloud solutions in areas such as client network security solutions such as VPN and proxy, network perimeter technologies like firewalls, reverse-proxy, WAN technologies and services, LAN and WiFi networking, video conference solutions, voice and softphone services, team collaboration solutions like MS or Cisco Teams, Slack and O365 with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • A deep understanding of technologies in innogy's other infrastructure areas: client computing, workplace services, data centre services, identity and access management, service management and cloud computing
  • The desire to work together in an international team of architects, including the willingness to travel nationally and internationally as part of the role
  • The ability to persuade and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to transform business requirements into implementable architectures and to understand both the technical and commercial impact
  • Negotiable proficient knowledge of German and English in word and writing
