Internal Audit provides an objective assurance and advisory activity designed to add value and improve the innogy's operations. We bundle the group-wide internal audit activities and have locations in Germany and abroad. We focus on group-relevant topics based on a risk-centric approach. The end-2-end audit processes operate to defined quality and professional standards, which have been successfully tested in 2017 by an external party from a design and effectiveness perspective.

 

As Internal Auditor you will report into the Head of Fraud Inv. & IT Audits and your role includes the following responsibilities:

 

  • Planning and performing and / or leading audits and additional ad hoc requests by senior management.
  • Assessing business risks and reviewing how effectively these risks are being managed.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and agreeing resulting actions with management.
  • Reporting findings, conclusions and recommendations to auditee and senior management.
  • Conducting follow-up checks of recommendations after implementation by the action owners.
  • Work either individually or as part of a team to complete work to agreed timescales.

 

Your profile:

 

  • IT or natural science background.
  • Overall experience and knowledge of the energy industry and its value chains.
  • Experience of conducting and leading IT and regulatory audits according to standards.
  • CIA, CISA, CFM or CFE are of advantage.
  • A sound knowledge of the principles of governance and control.
  • Report writing and communication skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and an ability to engage and influence at a senior level.
  • Problem solving and analysis – being able to make constructive recommendations which assist the business.
  • Willingness to travel to other company offices and sites in all locations of innogy.
  • Written and verbal presentation skills in German and English. Any further European language is a plus.
